UGC NET December 2025 Registration Begins:
The UGC NET December 2025 notification has been officially released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on October 7, 2025. The application process started on the same day and will continue until November 7, 2025. Candidates can apply online through the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
The application correction window will be open from November 10 to 12, 2025. The exam is expected to be conducted in December 2025 or January 2026, with exact dates to be announced soon on the official website. The exam covers 85 subjects and qualifies candidates for Assistant Professor, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), and Ph.D. admission eligibility

UGC NET December 2025 Registration Begins: The eligibility criteria for UGC NET December 2025 are as follows:
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Minimum marks required are 55% for General/EWS category and 50% for OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, and Third Gender categories.
- Final year postgraduate students are provisionally eligible to apply, provided they complete their degree within two years of the result declaration.
- Candidates with a 4-year undergraduate degree (after 10+2) are eligible for JRF and PhD only.
- PhD holders who completed their Master’s degree before September 19, 1991, are eligible with at least 50% marks.

Age Limit:
For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), the upper age limit is 30 years with applicable relaxations; 5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/Third Gender and women candidates. There is no upper age limit for candidates applying for the Assistant Professor role.
